To what extent is "sex sells" effective? Calvin Klein takes this phrase to a whole new level by endorsing sex in almost
all of his advertisements. Although some may agree with this phrase, I believe Calvin Klein's intentions are questionable.

I think Guy Trebay said it best when he asked "when did skivvies get rated NC-17?" In his article titled just that, he
discusses how the displays seen while walking down the "unmentionable" aisle are so raunchy that they practically require
some kind of rating system, or parental controls. Trebay states that Calvin Klein first started photographing men in ways
that made it acceptable to use sex to sell his products in the 80s.

Obscene writings, drawings, photographs, or the like, esp. those having little or no artistic merit.
Could Calvin Klein's ads be considered pornography? You decide.
